A sensation cannot diagnose a hormone level

Energy, libido and mood vary for many reasons. Feeling invigorated after bodywork does not demonstrate a lasting rise in testosterone. Neither a practitioner’s touch nor a description of blocked energy can diagnose testosterone deficiency.

Testing needs clinical context

If symptoms suggest a hormone problem, ask a clinician whether testing is appropriate and how results should be confirmed. The Endocrine Society recommends diagnosing hypogonadism only when compatible symptoms accompany consistently low testosterone. One result without context is not a self-treatment plan.

Fertility changes the treatment discussion

Tell the clinician if you want children before considering testosterone treatment. Do not buy hormones or supplements on a massage provider’s recommendation. Ask about possible fertility effects and the reasons for any proposed treatment; bodywork is not a substitute for that discussion.

Evaluate a hormone advertisement

Look for the exact intervention, comparison group, repeated measurements and follow-up duration. A testimonial about improved confidence is not equivalent to hormonal evidence. We do not endorse a Kasai programme for increasing testosterone.
